The Indigenous Learning Centre has scholarships available for those wishing to take AFOA Canada programs or courses. These scholarships function as tuition assistance for any member interested and are available in three categories:
Online Courses
This scholarship will cover the cost of one online course in the Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager (CAFM) or Certified Aboriginal Professional Administrator (CAPA) programs from AFOA Canada. Course availability is determined by AFOA Canada.
In-Person Sessions (Currently Virtual)
Available to those who are enrolled in face-to-face training cohorts over Zoom for the following programs:
- Certified Indigenous Human Resources Professional (CIHRP) – covers the cost of 2 of the 4 sessions
- Certified Aboriginal Professional Administrator (CAPA) – covers the cost of 3 of the 6 sessions
- Certified Indigenous Leadership (CIL) – covers the cost of 2 of the 4 sessions
National Virtual Capacity Development Workshops
For anyone participating in AFOA Canada’s Capacity Development Workshops. The scholarship will cover the cost of one workshop, whether it is a one or two-day workshop.
A new series of Workshops has been announced for 2022. The list of available workshops can be found on the AFOA Canada website.
The intake deadline for these scholarships is Friday, January 14, 2022.
